Thought it was about time I restarted making posts here, I have been remiss. Truth is that I have had my fill of problems, interruptions and “must do’s” that it has been difficult to keep pace with everything. I have updated my point-and-shoot camera so now I am more able to get occasional pictures when dog-walking which is twice a day. This orchid is in the lounge and is really a test shoy with the new toy.

Specially for Matilda, a picture of the Rhododendron which she planted for us in the back garden. Beautiful colour and cannot wait for more rocks and the plants to get established.
I will blog another shot of it for her benefit in a few minutes and then text her.

I came across a problem giving a friend details for seeing one of my pictures. PHOTONEWS blog had become too complicated and not at all user-friendly added to which my galleries of pictures were a problem. After a rethink I have decided to resurrect this blog aiming it at my friends, relations and visitors. The pictures will be snapshots rather than those aimed at competitive places.

I will try and keep both blogs going on my usual “as and when” basis, I don’t necessarily have new pictures to show regularly.

I have become rather disenchanted with the look of my blog. I have made it behave the way I wanted but the look and feel I dislike intensely the more I see it! Time to shop around but that takes too much time for comfort, still I will press on and leave the bad weather and Winter behind.

Spurred on to try and do more IR by a chat to JP of DAPA. This was taken a while ago when I started using Lightroom and I tried using split toning on an IR. Not quite as I wanted but interesting and worth me having another try.
